Why and when did you take up cycling – My uncle Enda Walsh got me interested in the sport, he was cycling for a few years before and he thought I’d enjoy it. I took it up in 2011.
When and why did you join Comeraghcc – I joined the club 2 years ago after doing some youth racing, Sinead snapped me up as soon as she saw me!
What has been your favourite moment since you took up cycling. – Favourite moment since I took up cycling has got to be 150 metres from the line in the Dungarvan open race 2014 before 9 other guys came past as I blew up (least favourite moment).
What is your favourite race locally – That has to be the Visit Nenagh Classic early in the year. Even though I was well off my best going into it this year I feel like it’s a race I could do well in.
What is your favourite internationl race – Paris-Roubaix, a race for men.
Who is your favourite cyclist – Mark Cavendish/Tony Martin.
What is your favourite film – All of the Lord Of the Rings trilogy, don’t make me pick!
What is the last book you read – ‘It’s not about the bike’ by Lance Armstrong (ha, fooled you).
What kind of music do you listen to – All types really, rock, pop, blues, rap, classical.
What do you do for fun (Not on the bike) – Recovery and hanging out with my friends. I buy and I eat food. I then proceed home where I eat said food. Then I text my coach Tommy Fanning and tell him how training has gone. My life really is that simple.
