While the eyes of the cycling world may be firmly focused on the Tour de France, where today, in a sombre atmosphere, the top professionals competed in the first of this years two time-trials in the Tour, On Wednesday evening last, the under 12, 14 and 16 riders of Comeragh CC competed against each other in our own mini Time-Trial on the main Tramore-Waterford road. The 5.7km course begins between the Summerville roundabout and the Maxol garage in Tramore and finishes at the Green Road junction near the Ballindid roundabout in Waterford;
The riders, accompanied by a number of our senior riders who were on hand to help out and impart their vast knowledge base to the younger members, met up at the Kingfisher carpark and cycled together to the start in Tramore from where they were left off at one minute intervals.
