Martin Kirwan, who runs Waterford gym ‘Focus on Fitness’ and who is a member of Comeragh Cycling club has been shortlisted to the final eight names for the Cycling Ireland ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award for 2016. The winners of this, and the other Cycling Ireland awards, will be announced at their awards night on Sunday November 27th in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin.
Martin worked tirelessly with Damien Vereker during Damien’s preparation for the Rio Paralympics this year and the help Martin gave Damien over the last number of years was wonderfully summed up by Damien himself in a wonderful testimonial the he wrote for Martin’s Focus on Fitness Website.
