Annual Copper Coast Sportive 2016, Saturday 23rd April
Folks it’s that time of year again, and Comeragh Cycling Club are proud to present our annual Copper Coast Sportive on Saturday 23rd April 2016.
It being an Olympic year, and with the Paralympic Games taking place in Rio in September, all proceeds will go to “Cycle to Para Dreams”, club member,
Damien Vereker’s quest for the Rio Paralympic Games 2016. As you are all aware, Damien has been shortlisted on the 56 person panel to represent Ireland on the tandem at the Rio Paralympic Games.
Help us support Damien to attend some key selection events, which will help him to making the final selection for Rio in September.
Registration at RSC from 9:00am to 9:50am, and entry fee is unchanged at €15
As per usual, there are two routes to choose from, a 65km route ideal for those new to the sport, and a second more challenging 100km route catering for intermediate to advanced cyclists.
Group/route info as follows:
Group 1 (100km): Start 10:00am average speed 27-30km/hr which will be controlled/neutralised until after the food stop in Dungarvan and cresting “The Pike”
